The National Association of Regional Councils will be holding three webinars addressing three different ways that water presents a real threat to the viability and livability of regions across the nation. These webinars will focus on three different topics:
· river flooding,
· sea level rise, and
· torrential rains.
Staff from different regions will talk about the dangers their regions face, what can be expected over the next ten to twenty years and beyond, and the various ways each region is attempting to push back against sea level rise and mitigate its impact.
These webinars will be held over three consecutive weeks beginning on July 13, and continuing on July 21, and July 27, 2021. The webinars will be held at 3 p.m. eastern, 2 p.m. central, 1 p.m. mountain, and 12 p.m. pacific.
Each webinar will provide time for questions and comments, and we urge you to bring your region’s experiences with water inundation and how your region has attempted or will attempt to address this problem.
